The closing ceremony of the 20th and 21st training of trainers courses in public order, organized by EIFORCES, with the support of the French cooperation, took place on December 13, 2019. It was presided over by Brigadier General André Patrice BITOTE, Director General of the International School of Security Forces (EIFORCES).
For eight weeks, from October 21 to December 13, 2019, thirty-six (36) Police and Gendarmes from Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, the Central African Republic, Senegal, Chad and Togo undergone training in Democratic Crowd Management according to United Nations(UN) standards.
In his closing address, the Director General of EIFORCES reminded the thirty-five (35) graduates of their duty as role models in a regional context marked at times by violent crisis. He also urged them to be worthy ambassadors of the school label, center of excellence of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) and the African Union (AU), wherever they will be called to serve.
With this new badge, it is more than three hundred (300) trainers in public order labeled EIFORCES, who are henceforth responsible for the dissemination of good practices in the domain of peacekeeping, the restoration of public order and the respect of human rights./-
